Catapult Track and Field is a youth amateur athletics organization serving athletes ages 6–18 through structured track and field training and competition. Our program focuses on developing speed, endurance, strength, and proper technique while promoting discipline, teamwork, and overall youth development. Athletes train year-round through

Catapult Track and Field is a youth amateur athletics organization serving athletes ages 6–18 through structured track and field training and competition. Our program focuses on developing speed, endurance, strength, and proper technique while promoting discipline, teamwork, and overall youth development. Athletes train year-round through a structured progression that includes winter conditioning, indoor track preparation, and outdoor track competition.

Our coaching staff is made up of experienced trainers with backgrounds in competitive athletics and youth fitness development. Through consistent instruction and participation in sanctioned competitions, athletes gain opportunities to grow physically and mentally in a supportive team environment. The program is designed to help young athletes build strong fundamentals, confidence, and a lifelong foundation in sport.

Coach Smith combines years of experience in physical training with specialized track and field knowledge to help athletes reach their full potential. Certified as a Master Fitness Trainer (MFT) while serving in the U.S. Army and a USATF-certified coach, he brings a unique blend of strength and conditioning expertise, disciplined training 

Coach Smith combines years of experience in physical training with specialized track and field knowledge to help athletes reach their full potential. Certified as a Master Fitness Trainer (MFT) while serving in the U.S. Army and a USATF-certified coach, he brings a unique blend of strength and conditioning expertise, disciplined training methods, and competitive insight. Coach Smith has guided athletes at all levels, developing speed, endurance, and technique, while emphasizing injury prevention, mental toughness, and peak performance in both indoor and outdoor track and field events.

Coach Darnell Baldwin brings a decade of coaching experience to the track, with a proven track record ranging from Varsity athletics at Dunkirk High School (NY) to the competitive middle school circuit at Mason Creek (GA). Specializing in technical speed development and explosive mechanics, Coach Darnell is dedicated to a singular mission: encouraging, empowering, and equipping athletes with the elite training necessary to reach their highest destination in the sport.

​His coaching philosophy is built on the belief that talent is only the starting point; true champions are forged through discipline and a refusal to settle. He instills three core pillars in every athlete he trains:

Coach Tiffany is a former elite long jumper known for her impressive collegiate career, consistently clearing over 6.4 meters (21 feet) in competition. A multiple-time NCAA All-American and Pac-10 champion, she excelled in both indoor and outdoor events, earning a reputation for her speed, technique, and competitive consistency. Her achie

With over three years of experience as a Head Girls Track Coach at the middle school level, she has developed not only strong athletes, but confident, disciplined young leaders. Her commitment extends far beyond competition—she has also spent over a decade working with children with disabilities through Special Olympics, demonstrating her belief that every child deserves the opportunity to shine.

Coach Kay lives by the principle that greatness is not reserved for a few—it is something that can be nurtured in every child. She inspires her athletes to push past limits, embrace challenges, and discover the strength within themselves. Her coaching style is rooted in encouragement, resilience, and unwavering belief in each athlete’s potential.

Parents are encouraged to get involved in a variety of ways, including coaching, coordinating snacks, organizing carpools, or supporting fundraising efforts. If you are a physical therapist or chiropractor, please let us know if you are available to assist with athlete recovery.
